2021 Ascend GW Holiday Party Highlights
Ascend GW members, community partners, and friends got together for an end of the year celebration on 12/7. Attendees had the opportunity to network and mingle with Ascendfriends while playing Topgolf and enjoying some delicious food and refreshments. Ascend GW Volunteer Spotlight
Emilee Cocuzzo is a volunteer within our Marketing Committee. Emilee's range of skills have proven invaluable as we share messages across numerous communication channels. Not only did she build our new Ascend GW website from the ground up, Emilee has also created many important communication products and graphics we use internally and for events. She established our Ascend GW YouTube channel and provides tutorials to our team for how to use an assortment of media. As an Ascend GW volunteer for a number of years, Emilee continues to add significant value and we are very fortunate to have her on our team! Thank you, Emilee!!

In a story embracing Asian culture, many will recognize the universal quest for beauty. To help kids reach body positivity and rise above societal standards, this book teaches children to love how they look.
This story recognizes that eyes are valued within Asian culture. For Asian kids who may be struggling to accept their genetic eye shape, that may be different from many of their peers, the author makes the case that mono eyelids are beautiful, and we all should feel good about whatever eyes we are born with. The illustrations in the book are colorful and delightful and show the beauty of mono eyelids. This book is a great gift idea for children!
